Sam Reid: President
Upperhand, Board member emeritus.  Founder of software company for sports training industry. Significant historic preservation background from time as senior advisor to Governor of Rhode Island, Lincoln Almond.  President of York Harbor Reading Room Foundation, a non-profit historic preservation organization.  Property owner in Kittery Point since 1984.  Trinity College, Hartford, CT graduate with Masters of Arts in policy and planning from Tufts University / MIT.

Jake Winebaum: Vice President
Executive and entrepreneur in magazine and technology industries.  Time, Fortune, USNews, Walt Disney Company.  Founder of FamilyFun Magazine, Business.com, Brighter.com, Applied Cognition.  Longstanding interest in Seacoast land preservation and sustainable fisheries.  Gerrish Island, Kittery Pt. property owner.  Dartmouth College graduate.

Laurence Bussey:  Treasurer
Retired US Navy Commander.  Administered the restoration, preservation and stewardship of Smuttynose Island over the past thirty years.  Archival research into the history of the Wood Island Station has unveiled a wealth of original documents.  Holds a 100T USCG license, and is owner of a yacht brokerage.  Graduate of the University of Maine. Master’s degree in Maritime History from the University of New Hampshire.

Jim McPherson:  Director
Retired US Coast Guard Captain. Formerly Chief of Staff, First Coast Guard District. Previously served as Commander Coast Guard Sector Northern New England, Chief Office of Public Affairs Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington DC and Commanding Officer USCGC ESCANABA.  Captain McPherson is a graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy.

Ellen Garvey:  Director
Captain, American Airlines for more than 35 years. Most recently, pilot of the 787 Dreamliner.  Former pilot New Hampshire Air National Guard.  Resident of New Castle, New Hampshire.  Graduate of New York University with degree in economics.

Steve Graves:  Director
President of Measured Air Performance, Manchester NH.  Board of Advisors Portsmouth Submarine Memorial Association. He holds a BS in nuclear engineering from the University of Lowell and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.  Resident of Gerrish Island, Kittery Pt, ME.

Dave Kaselauskas:  Advisor to the Board
Commercial fisherman (lobsters) based in Pepperrell Cove, Kittery Pt. on vessel Jersey Girl. Passion for history of Kittery Point and Wood Island.  Owner of various Wood Island photographs, maps and memorabilia.  Regular lecturer on local history.  Resident of Kittery Point since 1964.  Yale University graduate.

Wendy Lull:  Advisor to the Board
Founding President of Seacoast Science Center where she worked for 25 years.  Extensive non-profit museum experience in the local area. President, Propellor Club, Portsmouth NH. Strong media and grant writing skills.  Mean Scrabble player.  Sometimes deckhand on Jersey Girl. Award winning author. Graduate of Oakland University with a Masters of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire in marine zoology.

Beth Segers:  Advisor to the Board
Partner at Empirical Research Partners, an equity portfolio strategy firm, covering the money management industry. Has served on numerous nonprofit boards as well as chaired the research committee of the Investment Company Institute, the trade association for the U.S. mutual fund industry. Graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Phi Beta Kappa) with an MA in Education from Wheelock College. Frequent kayaker to Wood Island.  Resident of Kittery Pt since 1999.
